I've met Sjaak Overgaauw at the Loopfest organized last year by Michael Peters in Koln where we've started talking about the intention we both had on organizing a Loopfestival in our countries.
So I promoted the idea to connect our festivals, with the aim to get more exposure for our events which eventually could help us to get some founds.
...We didn't get any contribution - 2009 was the year of the economic world collapse and music has not so much consideration in our society - so we proudly decided to produce our event at our costs under the brand "European Live Looping Festival".
As the Y2K Loopfest series organized by Rick Walker, the First Loopfestival in Koln, organized by Michael Peters and the Second Berlin Loopfestival organized by Leander Reininghaus, those event were not only a musicians' meetings, places for sharing ideas or compare different technics or tools mainly about looping).
Here were involved high level musicians or loopers - if that definition does make sense for you: Dirk Serries, Rick Walker, Michael Peters, Darkroom, Per Boysen, Bernhard Wagner, The Koan Loop Ensemble, Leander Reininghaus and many others.
The premiere for the "in Rome Loopfest" took place in Florence in a warm night spent playing in a corner of a public park named "Anfiteatro dell'Anconella".
I'm in debt for the rest of my life with Massimo Liverani, who was happy to help me in organizing a that event

The time spent together and that night had some magic in my mind: various musicians coming from different parts of the world all connected just by the music.
Videos below show the final part of the gig in Florence, were all the artists involved in it were jamming for about 30 minutes.
I've cut up that long piece in 3 parts, having different vibes.
